Inside Line Promotions – MESQUITE, Texas (May 29, 2018) – Harli White has used the last two weekends to regain confidence.

“Going into regional races you expect to do well,” she said. “It’s still tough, but we’ve been getting some good finishes. I’m happy to be getting top fives and top 10s the last couple of weeks.”

White raced with the ASCS Gulf South Region last weekend during a doubleheader in Texas. The action began on Friday at RPM Speedway in Crandall, where she won a heat race – her second straight and fifth of the season – after starting on the outside of the front row.

That performance earned a spot into the feature redraw. She pulled the No. 2 to start the main event on the outside of the front row.

“I ran second for a while,” she said. “I bobbled one corner when Sam (Hafertepe Jr.) got around us. I ran third for a while until he got sideways in front of me. I went up the track to avoid him and a couple of drivers got by me. The track kept getting better as far as tackiness. We were getting tight and pushing a little. We lost a few positions through bobbling.”

White held on for an eighth-place finish, which marked her third consecutive top-10 result.

The weekend wrapped up on Saturday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. White finished where she started – third – in a heat race to again make the feature redraw. This time she drew the No. 4 to start the A Main fourth.

“Devil’s Bowl was good,” she said. “I got to third and ran there for a while. We had a restart and I made a bobble getting into the corner so that let a car get by me. As the race went on my motor started getting really hot and wasn’t pulling off the corner like it should have. We were in survival mode and one more driver got by us.”

White’s fifth-place finish was her third top five of the season and her second in the last three races.

The team is unsure whether they will be able to race this weekend. Regardless, White will have a car on display this Saturday at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla., during the ASCS Red River Region show.

“One of our sponsors, The Mower Shop, is located near that area so we want to support them,” White said. “We intended to race, but our engine situation isn’t ideal right now with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Speedweek coming up. Either way we will be there to support The Mower Shop.”
